Ben Bleiweiss is a former Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour regular (top finish being 24th place at Pro Tour - Mainz). He has worked as a store manager for Neutral Ground, a head judge for Gray Matter Tournaments, and an Internet columnist for the Dojo. He wrote the 'Uncommon Knowledge' (2001-2003) and 'Building on a Budget' (2006-2008) columns on magicthegathering.com.[1] He also sometimes provided coverage for the Pro Tour
Ben joined StarCityGames.com in 2003, and rose to become General Manager of the company. He is considered to be a financial expert on Magic card values. Ben is also the author of Magic: The Gathering Cards: The Unofficial Ultimate Collector's Guide (2018), showcasing the rarest and most valuable cards on the secondary market.
At the end of 2024 Ben was hired by Wizards of the Coast as a Product Architect.[2] He finished working for StarCityGames on December 20, 2024 and began at Wizards on January 6, 2025.[3]
