Professional play
Sato had Top 8's in Grand Prix Shizuoka 2013 and Chiba 2016.[1]
In the Kaldheim Championship Sato finished among the eight highest ranked Challengers. This provided him with access to the 2020–21 Challenger Gauntlet.[2] When he finished in the Top 4 of this play-off tournament, he was rewarded with a place in the 2021 World Championship and in the 2021–22 Magic Pro League.[3]
