The Chain Veil is an ancient and powerful artifact that the necromancer liliana Vess retrieved from some ancient catacombs. With the Veil she was able to enhance her power and kill the demon Kothophed so that she could and curse Garruk Wildspeaker. However, as the Veil takes hold of her she seesm to become possessed by the eldritch spirits of the Veil.
