Branko, known in later life as Branko One-Ear, was a guard at the Azorius Detention Compound on the plane of Ravnica. He stood over seven feet tall, with broad and muscular shoulders. He wielded a stun baton.

History

While Branko was attempting to subdue Vraska during a Golgari prison riot in the basement of the Azorius Detention Compound, she tore his ear off. Despite his efforts, Vraska escaped the prison, and her Planeswalker spark ignited.[1]

Following the raid, Branko left the Azorius and purchased a tenement near Keyhole Downs with the help of his father. The building briefly became part of Rakdos territory, and only the truly destitute chose to live in that slum. Branko himself could not be bothered to fix his broken pipes or clean the rubbish from his stairs.

Branko was eventually killed by Vraska's cultists for his participation in the Mass Arrest.[2] The top of his skull was cleanly removed by a magical incision, and his brain was extracted and placed in his lap. The empty skull was jammed full of worthless coins, and he was left in the alley behind his tenement.[3]
