Jacob Mooney is a former game developer for Magic at Wizards of the Coast. He was a member of the Casual Play Design team.
Career
Mooney joined Wizards in November 2021 and left the company in June 2023.[1][2]
Mooney's job was to test, review, and redesign Magic cards from the perspective of the Commander format. He also led a small team of developers to deliver “Commander Parties”, a small-scale live event series for local game stores.[3] As a deep Commander aficionado, Jacob was well known for quirky ideas and unusual takes.[4]
