Pascal Maynard is a Canadian professional player. His best finishes to date are a 2nd-place at Pro Tour Ixalan in 2017 and a 7th-place at Pro Tour Oath of the Gatewatch in 2016. He also has 13 Grand Prix top eights, with two wins: GP Mexico City and GP Buenos Aires, both in 2015. At Grand Prix Las Vegas 2015, he came into attention when he took a foil Tarmogoyf during the top eight draft, taking a valuable card rather than a good card for his deck, a highly controversial decision that spawned a lot of debate within the Magic community.
