Template:Navigation CR Some cards can change the text of other cards. These are known as text-changing effects or hacks [1]. They work by replacing mentions of one color word, basic land type, or creature type with another. All cards with this effect are blue.
Four cards can change one color word to another:
- Alter Reality (Torment)
- Balduvian Shaman (Ice Age)
- Glamerdye (Eventide)
- Sleight of Mind (Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Revised Edition, 4th Edition, Ice Age, 5th Edition)
One card can change a basic land type word to another:
Five cards can change a color word or basic land type word to another:
- Crystal Spray (Invasion)
- Mind Bend (Mirage, 8th Edition, 9th Edition, 10th Edition)
- Spectral Shift (Fifth Dawn)
- Trait Doctoring (Dragon's Maze)

In addition, there is a card from Unhinged, Magical Hacker, which can replace + signs in text boxes with - signs, and vice versa.
