Bryce

Bryce was a city-state in Jamuraa. Its governor was Hazezon Tamar.

Bryce is also one of the more powerful, though lesser known, planeswalkers that inhabited Dominaria during the Brothers War. Present at the final battle between Urza and Mishra, Bryce was asleep in a nearby cave when Urza let loose his destructive blast and was therefore protected from the massacre. When he emerged he realized he had slept through one of the most catastrophic occurrences in the multi-verse. It seemed a paltry reason for his Spark to ignite, but it happened, regardless.

Once transformed into a planeswalker, Bryce left Dominaria forever, and traveled the planes seeking out other planeswalkers to destroy them. In his search, Bryce encountered the planeswalker Paul who taught him the ways of the planeswalkers and how to best use his power.

Bryce learned quickly and began to rival his teacher in his studies. In a last-moment feeble attempt, Paul attempted to destroy his old pupil, but it was too late. The two now form a rivalry that spans all the planes, battling for dominance.

Some wonder if, hidden beneath their never-ending rivalry, their former friendship remains intact, and if they will put aside their endless fighting, and unite to destroy Nicol Bolas in the new Conflux set.
