'''<c>Portcullis</c>''' was the gate of the [[Stronghold]] on [[Rath]], and a symbol of oppression of the [[Skyshroud]] [[elves]] and the [[Kor]], [[Vec]] and [[Dal]] humans. During the reign of [[Volrath]], Portcullis was shaped to resemble the [[evincar]]'s face. When he was succeeded by [[Crovax]], the gate was altered to resemble the new evincar by simply welding sharklike teeth onto Volrath's image.

Portcullis was the gate of the Stronghold on Rath, and a symbol of oppression of the Skyshroud elves and the Kor, Vec and Dal humans. During the reign of Volrath, Portcullis was shaped to resemble the evincar's face. When he was succeeded by Crovax, the gate was altered to resemble the new evincar by simply welding sharklike teeth onto Volrath's image.
