(Eli no longer works for WotC so I updated this page. There's been no official statement but he deleted his twitter and his linkedin confirms this. It was brought to attention due to the Zendikar Rising rules AMA on r/magictcg where Matt Tabak was listed as the Rules Manager.)

Eli Shiffrin was a Magic editor and the rules manager, replacing Matt Tabak.[1][2] He joined the rules team in April, 2016. Previously, he was a member of an external review team.[3] According to Eli's LinkedIn, he stopped working for Wizards of the Coast as of August 2020, with Matt Tabak taking up the role of rules manager once again.
