Archers are combatants who specialize in fighting with bow and arrows. In-game, archers often have the reach ability or abilities that allow them to deal damage directly to creatures, often those with flying. Archers are centered in white and green.
For much of the game's history, "archer" was not a supported creature type, and many preexisting archers were changed to soldiers. Later, the archer type was reinstated, and some archers that had been changed to soldiers now bear both creature types.
