The Eldrazi are an ancient race native to Blind Eternities that have "transcended colors of mana altogether". Their hunger for energy is a threat to every plane they enter, as they feed on the planar mana until its death. While they do look wildly different from eachother, they do share a few attributes. Most seem to have multiple appendages all of which are either tentacles or end in hands. A few of them seem to have a torso as well, though this feature is not absolute. All Eldrazi on Zendikar decend from one of the three Eldrazi titans: Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek. The ones closest to the titans in power are colorless and huge, while the lesser drones are aligned with different colors of mana and smaller than their brethren.
Zendikar
Millennia ago, three Eldrazi entered Zendikar. They were sealed away by three planeswalkers: Ugin, Sorin Markov and unnamed lithomancer. Now, someone or something has weakened their prisons. Sorin Markov, has returned to Zendikar in the hopes of resealing them. Nissa Revane, a young elf planeswalker who lives on Zendikar, aims to have them removed from Zendikar altogether, as she considers them far too dangerous to keep around.
Other Eldrazi...
There are a few extremely large cards that have appeared through Magic's history that could be Eldrazi as well. One such card is Marit Lage, a 20/20 black creature token with Indestructable and Flying summoned with the coldsnap card Dark Depths. Before Emrakul's prerelease version was shown on Magic's website, many MTG players believed the this "third and largest Eldrazi" was Marit Lage.
