The East Coast Playtesters were a group of early Magic: The Gathering playtesters and designers, consisting of Skaff Elias, Jim Lin, Dave Pettey and Chris Page. All friends of Magic creator Richard Garfield, they playtested Alpha. Later, they designed the Antiquities, Fallen Empires, Ice Age and Alliances expansions.[1] Skaff later held such positions as Magic Brand Manager and Senior Vice President of Magic R&D. The Pro Tour was his idea.[2]
