Utility creatures
I always understood such creatures to be "bombs" or "build-around" creatures, e.g. Oracle of Mul Daya or Archetype of Courage. A utility creature to me is a relatively small creature that is intended to remain on the battlefield and provide a useful or even important effect, often activated, but by default does not get involved in combat, things like Mana creatures, pingers, tappers, Spirit of the Labyrinth...
I'm not clear if creatures like Satyr Wayfinder fall within my own definition, but they are close. Circeus (talk) 21:17, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
