For the man from Vryn, see Tuck (Vryn).

Tuck is an informal term used in the game that refers to putting a card or cards on the bottom of its owner's library, or to shuffle them into the owner's library. Tucking is a type of removal effect that moves the target to a generally inaccessible place, and can subject permanents, spells, or cards in hand to it. Tucking has become more common with newer library bounce, giving the target's controller the choice of drawing the bounced creature or putting it on the bottom. Tucked cards can be retrieved by further shuffling (by luck) or tutoring. The keyword action fateseal, which also gives a similar effect, was introduced in Future Sight.

A small but growing mechanic space that tucks in a different way are permanents that can exile cards in a graveyard to cast them later; in order to prevent repeated casting, they then are put on the bottom of the library as both the exile and graveyard are used already.
