Ken Troop is a writer and a Magic designer and core developer. As of December 2020, he is Vice President Franchise Leader for Magic at Wizards of the Coast.
Career
Ken was originally hired by Wizards of the Coast to lead the Magic creative team, following in the footsteps of Mark Rosewater.[1] Ken then got involved in the Gleemax project and after that, he left Wizards to go work at another game company. Later, he came back to lead R&D's new Magic digital team, overseeing things like Duels of the Planeswalkers and Magic Online.[2] After that, he became Director of Operations for Magic R&D (2014-2018). Since October 2018, he has been part of the Magic Studio X Administration and was named Executive Producer for the game.[3] Staring in December 2020, he became VP Franchise Leader.
Ken is also the author of Five Brothers in the Shadowmoor anthology
