The Penny Arcade eXpo (PAX)[1] is a series of gaming festivals held in Seattle, Boston, Melbourne and San Antonio. PAX was created in 2004 by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, the authors of the Penny Arcade webcomic.

Magic presence

A Magic panel always used to be featured in PAX West (formerly PAX Prime). It provided spoilers for the fall set, mostly focused on the creative elements.[2][3] PAX East provided additional spoilers for the spring set.[4] The conventions always featured exclusive Magic merchandise.

Because of the introduction of HASCON in 2017, Magic's presence at PAX was scaled back.[5]

Pinny Arcade Magic Pins

For a couple of years, special Pinny Arcade Magic Pins were created.
