Windgrace
Template:Character Lord Windgrace was a cat warrior (more precisely, black panther warrior, claiming to have been the warrior chief of his tribe) planeswalker from Urborg. He was older than Urza, since he remembered Urborg being a forest, before it was submerged by the Sylex Blast. He was one of the Nine Titans that Urza gathered to fight Phyrexia. When Urza went mad and killed Taysir, Windgrace took the fallen planeswalker's heart and put it next to his own. He survived the Phyrexian Invasion, and since then has become a leader and guardian of Urborg.
In the Time Spiral novel, he has control over the zone's slivers and other monstrosities, which he commands to destroy anyone and anything even remotely related to artifice. During the events of Planar Chaos, Windgrace attempts to seal the time rift in Urborg located where the Rathi Stronghold has overlaid to prevent a mass of Phyrexians from pouring into the present. As the rift begins to fold in on itself under Windgrace's magic, it sucks the life essence from him. As the rift vanishes from existence - so too does Lord Windgrace.
But, before facing the rift he preformed a spell, and claimed that he had fused his spirit to Urborg, and thus he would watch over it.
Interestingly, "Windgrace" was Crovax's family name. There is no evidence to support any familial link between the cat planeswalker and the human family, and the hereditary title was likely only linked through coincidence, or at most, the family was named after the planeswalker due to his power.
