Twelvepost was a deck for the Modern format that originated out of Tooth and Nail decks that first appeared in Mirrodin block constructed. However, the namesake card of these predecessors, Tooth and Nail, is generally replaced with Green Sun's Zenith or Summoner's Pact. Some versions also use red for Through the Breach.

The deck aims at putting a number of lands into play that can generate a large amount of colorless mana, by putting together as many Locus lands as possible (Cloudpost and Glimmerpost) and/or copying them with Vesuva. All Locus lands have "post" in their card names, hence the name of the deck: 4 Cloudpost + 4 Glimmerpost + 4 Vesuva = 12 lands with "post" in the name. The Locus lands may also be accompanied by the Urzatron lands (Urza's Tower, Urza's Mine and Urza's Power Plant), which also work well with Vesuva. Primeval Titan is the primary option to assemble the lands, and can also work as an alternate win condition.

Using all the mana, a big creature is cast to end the game, usually an Eldrazi such as Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre. The Eldrazi can also be searched up with Eye of Ugin, another land that can easily be found.

This deck was made unusable in Modern when Cloudpost was banned.
