Talk:Casual
Evidence please. Of course, just one study isn't enough; one needs to be methodical and correct in finding information out and discerning things. With more studies, data, etc., you get reliability. Only with reliable results can you get a valid statement. - GodEmperorOfHell on July 30, 2007
- If anyone can find some stats from any source on this, I salute you. Wizards has said repeatedly that the majority of their MTG customer base is casual players. If someone sees anything mentioned in a MaRo/Forsythe/etc article about this, please note it. FWIW, I have submitted an Ask Wizards question on this topic. MagicRage 19:27, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
O RLY? Among whom? Says who? Opinions are not necessarily facts; wikis should not be opinionated, and in delivering this supposed fact that there is such a misconception, who is to say that's accurate either?GodEmperorOfHell on July 30, 2007
- I'm pretty sure Wizards themselves have stated it is a misconception. And I think you will find alot of tournament-oriented players who hold this opinion. If anyone seems some official source mention this, please cite it. MagicRage 19:27, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Slang tag
I'm removing the Slang tag from this - being called a Casual player isn't slang, not sure what it is but it isn't slang. --GeoMike 00:13, 30 October 2007 (GMT)
