Baankis

Officer Baankis was a member of the Order in the Odyssey block. He was a soldier under the command of Major Teroh. After his first encounter with the soldier, Chainer often refered to him as "Bunkus." He was killed by Chainer, and was the first person to be absorbed into Chainer's dementia space. He was first introduced as a member of the Order patrol under the command of the aven officer, Major Teroh outside Cabal City that tried to relieve Chainer of the Mirari soon after he first discovered it. After refusing to give up the artifact, Chainer fled to Roup's Tavern, a Cabal operated pub to seek refuge and contact his teacher, Skellum. Baankis was referred to as Trooper Baankis by Teroh during this encounter, indicating his rank as a lowly foot soldier. Once Chainer left the building, Teroh's squad surrounded him and tried to force him to hand over the artifact. Chainer killed one of Teroh's soliders, a raypen bird during the encounter. Chainer managed to briefly fend off his attackers but was finally caught off guard by a Nantuku warrior and he was trapped with his back to the tavern walls. He was about to engage Baankis in combat before his master Skellum arrived along with a large hell hound named Azza. As Skellum summoned a dementia monster to deal with a beast controlled by Teroh's Nantuku soldier, Chainer escaped, riding on Azza's back to the First's mansion in the heart of Cabal City. Baankis would later appear as a member of the Major's pit fighting team against Skellum and Caster Fulla (Braids), along side Justicar Gobal and Yewma, a druid. It appeared he had recieved a promotion as some point becuase he was now addressed as Sergeant Baankis. The match had been arranged by the Cabal Patriarch to ensure the death of Chainer's teacher. The Order team would be victorious with Briads defeated and Skellum killed, as planned by the First. This would mark both Baankis, Teroh and even the First himself, as Chainer had whitnessed the death of his mentor through a spell cast by Skellum to ensure his pupil had seen the betrayal. Skellum was slaughtered by a pack of wolf-monkeys controlled by the druid, despite his efforts to forfeit the match. Chainer would later exact his revenge on both Sergeant Baankis and later Major Teroh. During the Order's large scale attack on Cabal City, Baankis had somehow survived Chainer's dementias assault on the Cabal Pits, killing every other order soldier in the building. Howver, he was injured during the attack and Chainer encountered him on his way to the vault. Chainer summoned one of his chains to wrap around the Sergeant's neck and slowly choked him to death. After he expired, Chainer took him into his dementia space. After the battle, Chainer led a night raid on the Order's camp, and slit Terohs throat.
