Pauper Magic is a format of Magic in which only commons are legal. Pauper formats are similar to formats in regular Magic, except that uncommons and rares are illegal in Pauper games.


History

Pauper Magic has a long and illustrious history.

On MTGO, one active community of players of Pauper Magic comprise the Pauper Deck Challenge or PDC. Their combined chat room is pdc, and is a central meeting spot for the format. The PDC homepage is PauperMagic.com.

Caution

Pauper Magic is often confused with Peasant Magic, which is a different format entirely. In Pauper Magic, only commons are allowed.
