Terisia City was the oldest and most advanced city-state at the time of the Brothers' War. Far to the west and notable for its huge ivory towers, the city was also very beautiful. It was surrounded by thick, white-marble walls, and all manner of carved creatures adorned the stonework. The city rooftops were made of crystal and stained glass. A woman known as the archmandrite presided over the Order of the Ivory Towers. Hurkyl, Drafna, and Feldon attended meetings with the archmandrite of the Order in order to establish The Third Path, also known as the "Union". Peoples of all cultures flocked to Terisia City to join the teams of mages and scholars, and seek shelter from the chaos elsewhere.

Mishra tried diplomacy with the city council to gain the city's favor, but was denied any support. He then sent his armies to besiege Terisia City. Fortunately, the Terisian defenses were implacable, and held the Fallaji at bay for months. Gixians who had been welcomed into the Third Path finally betrayed the city, and opened the gates. Hurkyl died as one of the defenders, casting a spell that would memorialize her - Hurkyl's Recall - to destroy Mishra's dragon engines. Terisia City was sacked by forces under the command of Ashnod, and its citizens taken into slavery.
