Mirrodin's Core

Mirrodin's Core was a massive system utillized by Memnarch to control the outer world of Mirrodin. It a massive globular space within Mirrodin, and could only be approaced through five lacunas, one in each land of Mirrodin. It was a brilliant and otherworldy sight, with a shining metallic surfaces everywhere, reflecting the intense light of the plane's core. In it were many hundreds of Memnarch's artifact creatures and constructs. At the center, suspended in the air, is a blinding circle of bright light, a ball of pure mana. It was from this ball that the five suns emerge into the sky. This event puzzled both the plane's Gaurdian and it's denizens, eventually leading to legends about the nature of the five satellites. Mycosynth towers also dotted the metal innards of the plane, though there arrival is also something of a mystery.

Panopticon, the lair of Memnarch was held here, just below the beaming Mana Core.
