Discussion

I agree that a voting page is fair way to settle the despute of formal vs unformal, however it is very unfortunate that you have placed it in the salvation forum because I have no e-mail. I will attempt to create an account without e-mail, but if I cant, I will either need a page in the wiki, or someone who can "voice out" my replies... Wickeddarkman 03:36, 24 January 2007 (CST)

That was a typical ending. Just no luck. I cant access the page :P

So what do we do now ???

Hmm. I got an idea. I am editing my own mainpage rigth now to make my own reply on that page. I will try to be quick about it, then you can copy/paste it for me into the salvation forum. Okay ???Wickeddarkman 04:17, 24 January 2007 (CST)

I will paste your response for you, and see what everyone thinks. Have you been able to see the thred at least?VestDan 19:30, 24 January 2007 (CST)

Yes, I am constructing the page to answer some of the doubts people have about it all :)Wickeddarkman 19:32, 24 January 2007 (CST)

Okay done now... It's on my user page...

So far I have kept it at the tip of the iceberg, but I could write page upon page of examples on how the wiki can be used. For example the combobrary, which is really one of the simpler creations. More advanced options will be how people may create certain infra-structures that can be viewed by clicking through some sort of "page-scape" where there is a common concept or mindset gluing the whole thing together in a way that can only be experienced by surfing on that internal webstructure. I have already been plaguing Phyrecia.com more than a year about how so many aspects of the game can be structured and become more important. So many things about magic have been unearthed, and a free wiki could dig out such knowledge faster than any other known process. Human minds will be able to merge into a superprocessing unit. It will be the closest thing to a biocomputer we have at the moment :)

Oh, yeah and thats one of the reasons why I want the wiki to be free. You see the academically biased pages will actually be some sort of memory cache, where the "live" wiki will have it's knowledgebase. But there is no spark, no ignition, it is in a coma. But when the wiki becomes free people will be allowed to create pages that are opening questions, new types of things in magic to research and comment on, speculations. When that happens the wiki will use humans like firing neurons in a brainweb, thousands of questions will be considered and thousands of questions answered. Technically speaking it will be a live brain...

anyways, my reply is here: User:Wickeddarkman
