Highlander is a Constructed variant which allows only one copy of each card in the deck, with the exception of basic lands.

Rules

Deck construction

  • One legendary, usually multi-colored, creature of at least 6 converted mana cost is chosen as your general. It counts as one of your hundred.
  • All other cards in the deck must be one of the colors of the general or colorless. This includes lands, artifacts. This however doesn't include cards that are additional colors, or alternate colors so, if you general is white-and-green, only white, green, white-and-green and colorless cards are allowed.

Game play

  • The amount of life a player starts with is 200 divided by the number of players.
