A mega cycle is a cycle with its member cards distributed across separate sets; unlike a mega-mega cycle, however, these sets are all within a single block rather than from multiple blocks.

An example of this would be the Kaldra Equipment in Mirrodin block. This cycle consists of Sword of Kaldra from Mirrodin, Shield of Kaldra from Darksteel, and Helm of Kaldra from Fifth Dawn.

Another example is the Ravnica block "Shock lands"; Overgrown Tomb, Sacred Foundry, Temple Garden and Watery Grave are from Ravnica Set, while Godless Shrine, Steam Vents and Stomping Ground are from Guildpact set. The mega cycle of shock lands is completed in Dissension with Blood Crypt, Breeding Pool and Hallowed Fountain. The Ravnica block Karoo lands are another example of a mega cycle. These bounce lands include Boros Garrison. They all enter the battlefield tapped and require you to return a land you control to its owner's hand upon entering the battlefield. They each tap for two mana.
