Ihsan was an Aysen Serra Paladin on Ulgrotha. His life was directed after he spoke to a soothsayer who told him that his dark dreams may mean he was to be doomed by Baron Sengir. He planned to ask the Baron Sengir for the powers of darkness the vampire himself possessed in hopes of using it against him; however, the Baron had guessed that this was Ihsan’s motive and instead of turning him into a Sengir vampire, he turned Ihsan into a shade and bound him to his signet ring instead.
