Artifact lands is a term used in reference to the six common land cards printed in Mirrodin and Darksteel that also have the artifact type. They contributed to the dominance of the affinity-based deck archetypes, and thus, in June 2004, all six were banned from Standard. The artifact lands are:
- Ancient Den (produces )
- Seat of the Synod (produces )
- Vault of Whispers (produces )
- Great Furnace (produces )
- Tree of Tales (produces )
- Darksteel Citadel (produces , and is also indestructible)
