A chump blocker is a creature assigned to block a larger attacker, which will ultimately die at end of combat and the blocking is solely done to prevent the damage that would be dealt if the creature was unblocked. Chump blocking occurs most often by players who are losing and trying to gain additional turns in which to draw answers.
