The Bolas Arc is the storyline that tells the story of the fight of the Gatewatch against Nicol Bolas. It comprises the Kaladesh block, Amonkhet block, the Ixalan block, Dominaria, Core Set 2019, and the "Guilds of Ravnica block".[1]
In terms of sets, it includes ten expansion sets released from September 2016 until April 2019: Kaladesh, Aether Revolt, Amonkhet, Hour of Devastation, Ixalan, Rivals of Ixalan, Dominaria, Core Set 2019, Guilds of Ravnica, Ravnica Allegiance and War of the Spark. "Codename: Handlebar" was the term used internally.[2]
