Team CMU was an influential professional Magic: The Gathering team from 1997-2001 known for innovating numerous deck archetypes and strategies and producing many of Magic's future developers, writers and champions.[1][2][3] It included such future famous persons such as Erik Lauer, Andrew Cuneo, Randy Buehler, Mike Turian, Aaron Forsythe, Brian Schneider, Nate Heiss and Gary Wise. The team was named after the university where several of its originating members were attending, Carnegie Mellon University.
