Duel Decks: Garruk vs. Liliana is loosely based on the webcomic The Hunter and the Veil, in which Garruk attempts to stop Liliana from obtaining a dangerous artifact known as the Veil. The story was meant to continue in a planeswalker novel named The Curse of the Chain Veil, but it was never published.
