Template:Character Dack Fayden is the protagonist of the Magic: the Gathering comics released by IDW Publishing. In search of greater magical knowledge and on the hunt for the people who destroyed his town, Dack Fayden is the greatest thief in the Multiverse.
Innistrad
Having stolen a powerful relic known as the Ancient Fang from the Cult of Rakdos on Ravnica, Dack finally tracked down information on the perpetrators of the massacre that befell his home town on the plane of Fiora. A walker known as Sifa Grent had slaughtered everyone in search of him, hoping to tap into his great potential for her own means. With the dagger, Dack tracked Sifa to the plane of Innistrad where she had allied herself with a Baron of the Falkenrath clan.
Dack made an enemy of the vampires when he interrupted their feeding, saving several individuals in the process and befriending a Cathar. He gave them all a chance to escape as he distracted the Falkenraths and was only saved by the timely return of the cathar. He rested at her house in the aftermath, but the damage had been done and the vampires alerted Sifa to his presence on the plane.
She responded by assaulting the village, but missed Dack, who had ironically gone to her own manor in search of her. Dack managed to return, but barely in time. He rallied the forces of the village, but had to make the tough choice to let Sifa flee rather than see the village destroyed at her hands.
