Harpy is a seldom used black and blue creature type used for cards that depict ravenous, filthy monsters that have a woman's head and a bird's body.
The first card named Harpy was Screeching Harpy in Tempest, but it had the subtype Beast. Two other cards followed: Molting Harpy in Mercadian Masques (which was only a Mercenary) and the multicolored Cavern Harpy in Planeshift (a Beast again).
In the Grand Creature Type Update the Harpy was specifically introduced as an additional subtype for these three cards. [1]. Since then, no Harpy has ever been printed again.
