The octopus is a venomous cephalopod of the sea that prefers a solitary nature. Their most notable feature are eight tentacular arms with a hard beak at the center of them. Their primary defense mechanism is to eject ink into the water and then flee, using natural camouflage to evade any pursuers. They are not to be confused with closely related squid or kraken. Unlike the humanoid cephalids, octopi while intelligent, have shown now signs of sentience.
