==The world of Esper==
The information revealed so far shows it is inhabited by [[human]]s, [[vedalken]]s, a race that could either be [[elemental]]s or [[spirit]]s, and a small race of blue-skinned sentient beings, among others.
Esper is a world where powerful magic has trumped nature. [[Human]] and [[vedalken]] mages control almost every aspect of life here, from the tides and winds to the shortcomings of the flesh. An agency called the Ethersworn have made it their mission to infuse a magical alloy called etherium into every living creature on the plane, following the doctrine of the plane's enigmatic [[sphinx]]es. From all across the six seas, from the shear cliffs of [[Ot]] to the drifting sands of the glass dunes are just some of the regions of Esper. While the sphinxes kept their distance and remain a mystery, there is a great deal of information available  in the vedalken capital port  of [[Palandius]]. From the social exchanges in the forum vitreum  to the [[filigree]] texts  in the sanctum Arcanum. The seaswept and rain soaked  coastal slate plateaus and depths of the tidehollow catacombs were much less friendly and forthcoming with their secrets. Much like the great Kemuel, sphinx  of the desert maze, a great effort is required to overcome the obstacles of knowledge they contain.

Esper is one of five Shards of Alara. It is primarily blue-aligned, with white and black as secondary colors.

The information revealed so far shows it is inhabited by humans, vedalkens, a race that could either be elementals or spirits, and a small race of blue-skinned sentient beings, among others.
