Pauper Magic is a game-format of Magic: The Gathering in which only commons are legal. Pauper formats are similar to formats in regular Magic, except that uncommons and rares are considered illegal in Pauper games.

Pauper Magic is often confused with Peasant Magic, which is a different format entirely.

History

Pauper Magic has a long and illustrious history.[citation needed]

On MTGO, one active community of players of Pauper Magic comprise the Pauper Deck Challenge or PDC. Their combined chat room is PDC, and is a central meeting spot for the format.
