Wolves are a type of mundane canine that exists in many different worlds. Aside from Kamigawa, wolves have been found in essentially every existing plane in some form or another. The wolves of Mirrodin were an exceptionally unusual breed, being longer-lived than the elves, as wise as the leonin, as sapient as unaltered vedalken, and as rare as a fully organic creature in that world.
