A reprint is a card that has previously appeared in another set.
The Ice Age expansion was the first expansion to contain reprints. Before its release it was thought that players would not like to see cards already in print, but after its success many large expansions incorporated reprints of "staple" cards, such as Disenchant, Counterspell, Dark Ritual, Stone Rain, and Regeneration.
