Gavin Verhey is a game designer/developer for Wizards of the Coast; he is also an accomplished 'experience designer' (examples include prerelease activities for Magic 2015 and Khans of Tarkir)). He is also a former Pro Tour player, having competed in three Pro Tours. Verhey is currently a writer on magicthegathering.com, and is a former writer for Star City Games and MTG Salvation.

Verhey became a Game and Product Designer for Wizards of the Coast in October 2011. In 2016, he became part of the Product Architecture team.[3]
