#REDIRECTPain lands
Painlands is the term that refers to the lands first printed in Ice Age and Apocalypse that provide two different colors of mana, but you take a point of "pain" damage every time you tap them for a color. They can also be tapped for colorless mana without taking damage. They are as follows:

*<c>Adarkar Wastes</c> (W/U)
*<c>Brushland</c> (W/G)
*<c>Karplusan Forest</c> (R/G)
*<c>Sulfurous Springs</c> (B/R)
*<c>Underground River</c> (U/B)
*<c>Battlefield Forge</c> (W/R)
*<c>Caves of Koilos</c> (W/B)
*<c>Llanowar Wastes</c> (B/G)
*<c>Shivan Reef</c> (U/R)
*<c>Yavimaya Coast</c> (U/G)

The lands providing allied colors are originally in Ice Age; those providing enemy colors from Apocalypse. The former were reprinted in Fifth Edition, Sixth Edition, and Seventh Edition, and all ten were printed in Ninth Edition and 10th Edition.

Tempest painlands
There are also a set of five lesser-known painlands from Tempest. They are enemy-coloured, and come into play tapped, making them worse than the painlands of Apocalypse. They are as follows:
*<c>Salt Flats</c> (W/B)
*<c>Pine Barrens</c> (B/G)
*<c>Skyshroud Forest</c> (G/U)
*<c>Caldera Lake</c> (U/R)
*<c>Scabland</c> (R/W)

Mirrodin talismans
In Mirrodin, five "talisman" artifacts were printed that resemble the original painlands from Ice Age. They are:

*<c>Talisman of Dominance</c> like Underground River
*<c>Talisman of Impulse</c> like Karplusan Forest
*<c>Talisman of Indulgence</c> like Sulfurous Springs
*<c>Talisman of Progress</c> like Adarkar Wastes
*<c>Talisman of Unity</c> like Brushland
