He illustrated 86 Magic: The Gathering cards, beginning with Coercion (Visions), and ending with Supersize (Unhinged). He has also done work for Dungeons & Dragons and other fantasy properties. As of 2017, he has written and illustrated a dozen children's books, and provided illustrations for eight more. His series The Spiderwick Chronicles was adapted into a major film in 2008.
