In Magic, a team is a group of players who share a common victory condition in a multiplayer game.

Definition

From the glossary of the Comprehensive Rules (June 7, 2024—Modern Horizons 3)

Team
A group of players who share a common victory condition in a multiplayer game. See rule 808, “Team vs. Team Variant,” rule 809, “Emperor Variant,” rule 810, “Two-Headed Giant Variant,” and rule 811, “Alternating Teams Variant.”

Your team

Battlebond introduced "your team". Any card that refers to "your team" refers to you or a teammate.[1] If you're not playing a team game, "your team" just means "you."

Team variants

Professional play

In Professional play, most Magic players also work with a team of some sort, to brew and playtest.[2]
