Cards added to Magic Origins
Magic Origins contains 263 that were not printed in Magic 2015, including 194 cards that had never been printed before.
Returning cards
These 69 cards are reprints, but were not in Magic 2015. A + after the card name indicates a card that has never been in a core set before. A ! after the card name indicates a card that hasn't been Modern legal before. A * indicates all-new artwork'.

Changes in rarity
The following cards changed rarity from their last printing to Magic Origins.
- Cruel Revival was common in Onslaught and Planechase (2009), is now uncommon.
- Fiery Conclusion was common in Ravnica: City of Guilds and Planechase 2012, is now uncommon.
- Knightly Valor was common in Return to Ravnica, is now uncommon.
- Runed Servitor was common in Modern Masters 2015, is now uncommon again.
- Totem-Guide Hartebeest was common in Rise of the Eldrazi, is now uncommon.
- Nantuko Husk was uncommon in Tenth Edition and Commander (2011), is now common again.
- Sigiled Starfish was common in Journey into Nyx, is now uncommon.
- Revenant was rare in Stronghold and Seventh Edition, is now uncommon.
- Gaea's Revenge was mythic in Magic 2011, is now rare.
Cards removed from Magic 2015
Almost all cards from Magic 2015 were removed form the Core Set. The exceptions were:
