Looting is a term that refers to the mechanic that requires the player draw one or more cards, and then discard a number equal to what he or she drew. Looting almost always goes to the graveyard.
The mechanic was named after Merfolk Looter.[1] and appears typically on blue cards.[2] Red has its own form of looting, what R&D calls "red looting" or rummaging, where it discards before it draws.[3][2] This slang term was referenced in M13's Rummaging Goblin.
