Magic Duels: Origins is a digital free-to-play Magic game that will come out July, 2015 on Xbox One, PC via Steam, and iPad tablets, with PlayStation 4 joining later in the year. It is the successor to the Duels of the Planeswalkers series.[1]

Description

Magic Duels: Origins focuses on bringing in newcomers. Most of the learning comes through situational tips as you play. [2] As you play the game, you earn gold which you trade in for booster packs. If you want to get cards quicker, you can also buy gold, but all gameplay content is earnable just by playing.

Magic Duels will launch with the new storyline featured in the Magic Origins set, and will continue to expand with regular downloadable content that reflects the latest sets. Lead designer for Magic Duels: Origins is Drew Nolosco.

Storyline

Players will experience the origin stories of five iconic Planeswalkers through immersive gameplay. [3] [4]
