Template:Character Mairsil, the Pretender was a power-hungry wizard who imprisoned the archmage Ith during the post-Brothers' War Dark Age, until he was foiled by a young Jodah. He imbued his life into a magical ring which was later found during the Ice Age by a soldier named Lim-Dûl, who he took control of and, in the service of Leshrac, terrorized Ice Age Terisiare with undead hordes until being defeated by an alliance between Kjeldor and Balduvia.

Jaya's ascension, and the energies it released, destroyed the ring and eradicated all traces of Mairsil's soul, ending the evil that had lain dormant for three millenia.
