Mairsil, the Pretender was a power-hungry wizard who imprisoned the archmage Ith during the post-Brothers' War Dark Age, until he was foiled by a young Jodah. He imbued his life into a magical ring which was later found during the Ice Age by a soldier named Lim-Dûl, who he took control of and, in service of Leshrac, terrorized Ice Age Terisiare with undead hoards until being defeated by an alliance between Kjeldor and Balduvia.
