The Seventh Edition 2 Player Starter Set was a Starter-level product, similar to Starter and Starter 2000. However, unlike those sets, it wasn't a separate product but a part of the Seventh Edition Core Set. This 2-Player Starter Set was the last Starter-level product to be advertised as such. Teeuwynn Woodruff, Charlie Catino, Brady Dommermuth and Michael Donais worked on design and development.
Contents
- 2 30-card preconstructed decks
- 1 seeded booster pack with 14 advanced cards (artifacts, enchantments and instants)
- and 1 foil Thorn Elemental
- Two playmats to explain the different game zones
- 2 cardboard life counters
- 2 player guides which cover 1 demo game
- 1 enhanced rule book with 7th Edition rules
- 1 CD which contains 2 explanatory test games, a visual 7th Edition card list and weblinks
- 1 consumer response card to provide feedback
Certain international versions of the 7th Edition Two Player Starter exist with greatly reduced contents, containing only the rule book and the 30-card decks.
